ALITALIA - ROME-MILAN : Covid Tested flights

Alitalia, in collaboration with Aeroporti di Roma and Lazio Territorial Region, has identified, as required by Lazio Region Ordinance of 11 September 2020, the first flights with passengers on board subjected to a preventive screening with negative test to Covid-19.

From
, 16 September, two Alitalia Rome Fiumicino-Milan Linate flights will carry only passengers who tested negative for Covid-19:

- AZ 2038 at 1.30 pm (operating every day of the week)
- AZ 2092 at 17:30     (operating from Monday to Friday)

Passengers will be boarded after having been tested with rapid antigen test or upon presentation of a molecular swab (PCR test) or antigenic certification carried out within 72 hours prior to boarding the flight.

Test will be required for all Alitalia passengers on the above flights.

All passenger of flights with transit of less than 2 hours (or less than 3 hours for non-Schengen flights), are excluded  and they will be moved to other flights*.

Children 0-6 years old are exempted from the test, unless requested by their parents to take the test.

Passengers departing from Fiumicino on these two flights will be able to carry out the rapid antigen test, performed with a nasal swab, by going to new drive-in at the Long Term Parking of the "Leonardo da Vinci" Airport.
 
Alternatively, passengers can carry out the rapid antigen test at Health Center located in the Arrivals of Terminal 3 of the "Leonardo da Vinci" airport, after exiting the baggage reclaim hall, on the day of departure.

A fast lane will be set up in both structures for travelers on these two flights to Milan.

The test carried out at the airport and in all drive-in of Lazio Region is absolutely free.
It is necessary to present flight ticket and health card or, for foreign citizens, an identity document.

The rapid antigen tests guarantee a result in less than 30 minutes, however, it's required to arrive at the airport 2 hours before boarding.

If the test has a positive result, the passenger must follow the instructions provided by Air Health at the airport.

Boarding will not be allowed to passengers in possession of only serological test certification.

Passengers, already booked on the two flights above reported, that prefer not to do preventive tests, mandatory to get on board, or cannot do test for medical reasons, can be moved, free of charge, to one of the other the Rome-Milan flights, in the same class or in the higher class available.

* Passengers, with transits of less than 2 hours (or 3 hours for of non-Shengen flights), that not accepted  transfer to other flights, can ask for refund or a voucher, valid for 18 months.

In case of non-boarding due to a positive Covid-19 result,  passenger can request refund of the ticket or a voucher of the same amount within fourteen days from date of the flight and valid for 18 months from the issue.
